This role focuses on developing and co-ordinating original multimedia content to strengthen the University’s online presence for a targeted audience. Key responsibilities include implementing campaigns to promote the University’s brand on social media, planning, creating, and scheduling content aligned with the University’s strategy, and monitoring social media activity to measure impact. The role involves engaging directly with students on platforms like The Student Room and Reddit, supporting student engagement and channel growth, and enhancing recruitment efforts through effective use of YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. Creative strategies, including incentives and studentled content, will be employed to foster conversations and increase engagement.

Main Responsibilities

1. Planning, creating, and scheduling social media content in line with the University’s strategy and values to enhance the growth of the University's social media portfolio, reputation and reach.

2. Monitoring social media activity and play a key role in monitoring and measuring social media impact

3. Actively taking part in community engagement on forums speaking direct to students. These include The Student Room, Campus Connect and Reddit.

4. Supporting student engagement, channel growth and creative content.

5. Supporting recruitment by focusing on increasing engagement from student audiences. This includes working to enhance the performance of YouTube, TikTok and Instagram to reach a student audience.

6. Utilising skillsets to creatively grow conversations across social media. This may include using incentives, student-led content, or engagement features.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience of creating digital content such as videos, photos and blogs.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, media-focused environment.
  • Experience working with clients to ensure a shared vision and brief for creative output

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £28,381.00-£32,546.00 per year
