  • Job Description
  • Our P&T teams move fast, but our learning isn’t always aimed at the skills that move the needle. This role exists to focus our effort and budget on the capabilities that matter most – so everyone knows what to learn, managers know how to back their teams, and the business sees a clear uplift in capabilities.
  • The P&T Skills & Capabilities Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the learning and development approach for the Product & Technology function. This role is responsible for identifying critical technical and core skills, designing and promoting learning pathways, and ensuring that learning investments deliver measurable value to both the business and our people.
  • Skills Strategy & Learning Design
  • Work closely with the People Partner team to maintain the P&T skills taxonomy. Identify critical current and future skills across the Product and Technology function, mapped to roles, career levels and business priorities.
  • Develop and maintain clear skill pathways aligned to business priorities and career progression. Ensure quality and relevance of content.
  • Set design standards (microlearning, labs/sandboxes, peer learning, communities of practice, simulations, certifications) and assessment methods (skill checks, labs, badging).
  • Design and deliver blended learning programmes using a mix of classroom, self-paced, and innovative learning methods (e.g., peer learning, digital platforms, simulations).
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and capability development.
  • Learning Programme Management
  • Coordinate and manage technical and core skills learning initiatives across the function.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external providers to curate and deliver high-quality learning content.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning interventions and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Budget & Resource Management
  • Ensure optimal use of the training budget by aligning spend with strategic priorities and ROI.
  • Track and report on learning investment outcomes and participation metrics.
  • Working closely with the business and the Head of Learning, manage the vendor strategy for P&T; negotiate for value, measure outcomes, retire low performers.
  • Talent & Performance Enablement
  • Support the execution of global talent processes such as Podium performance and Knowing Our Talent.
  • Build capabilities in managers and employees to effectively engage with these processes.
  • Provide guidance and tools to embed talent practices consistently across all levels of the function, supporting the People Partner team.
