We are recruiting a LRC Sixth Form Manager to join our school in Liverpool. This is a crucial role where you will manage the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) and serve as the Pastoral Lead for Sixth Form. About the Role:
As the LRC Sixth Form Manager, you will work under the direction of the Head of Sixth Form. Your main purpose is to manage the LRC by tracking and monitoring students to ensure they are on track with their learning and to address any barriers to their learning. You will also be the Pastoral Lead for Sixth Form. You will support teachers in enabling students to learn and embed professional standards.

Role Details:
- Salary: NJC 24-29, which is £34,314 to £38,626.
- Working time: Term time plus two weeks (A Level and GCSE results weeks in the 2nd and 3rd week of August).
Core Duties:
- Student Support: You will track and monitor student attendance and punctuality , and withdraw students for support on any aspect of learning. You will also support the pastoral and welfare of students, liaising with the Inclusion Team when necessary.
- University Admissions: You will oversee the administration of the UCAS application system. You will also assist students with personal statements, write student references, and deliver workshops on applying to university and preparing CVs.
- Resource Management: Manage the LRC and ensure it is a place for effective self-study. You will also be responsible for maintaining the careers library and resources.
- Pastoral & Welfare: You will be the Pastoral Lead for the Sixth Form. You will also support students with their welfare, liaising with the Inclusion Team when required.
- Other Duties: You may also be required to invigilate exams and support with assemblies by arranging for guest speakers.
