Shopify Assistant (Ongoing | Part-Time) About the role We’re a growing Shopify plus brand seeking a detail-oriented Shopify Assistant to help with day-to-day store admin, product listings/collections, safe installation/configuration of new apps, optimising PDP. Responsibilities *General Shopify admin: update navigation, menus, pages/sections, banners, metafields, basic SEO (titles/meta/URLs), and perform regular QA for broken links/404s. * Product and collections: create/edit products and variants, upload images/alt text, apply tags, manage automated collections (rules/conditions), and maintain merchandising. * Apps: research, install, configure, and test apps on a duplicate/staging theme (reviews, banners, bundles, subscriptions, upsells, search/filters, etc.); document changes. * Theme tweaks (light): adjust sections/blocks in Online Store 2.0, apply badges, swap homepage modules; coordinate with a developer for Liquid-heavy work. * Performance hygiene: compress oversized images, check mobile/desktop layouts, and flag issues impacting page speed. * Documentation: keep simple update logs/SOPs so work is clear and repeatable. Must-have experience * 1–2+ years working inside Shopify admin (beyond just running a store). * Confident with variants, metafields/metaobjects, tags, and automated collection rules. * Comfortable testing changes on a duplicate theme before going live. * Familiar with CSV/Google Sheets for bulk edits. * Clear written English and a reliable, organized workflow. Nice to have * Basic Liquid/JSON templates knowledge, light HTML/CSS. * Familiarity with common apps (reviews, subscriptions, search/filtering, upsell/bundles, feeds). * GA4/Search Console basics and on-page SEO hygiene. Engagement details * Project type: Ongoing, hourly. * Availability: ~10–20 hours per week What to include in your proposal 1. A brief note on your relevant Shopify experience. 2.
