Job Description

Working in a hybrid style, based at home and the East District Housing Office you will work full time, 37 hours per week in Housing Service within Neighbourhood Services.

Requirements

You will have professional qualification in Housing.

Responsibilities

You will provide strategic leadership and management of the Housing Service and to work as a member of the Housing, Construction and Communities Service and Neighbourhood Services Extended Management Teams.

You will lead appropriate corporate activities on behalf of Dundee City Council.

The Individual

You will have experience of managing staff in a Housing role and have significant experience, knowledge and understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements relating to housing in Scotland. You will have experience of managing a budget.

You will have experience of working in Social Housing, affordable housing, homelessness, tenant participation, working in a multi disciplinary/partnership setting, have excellent administration/report writing and communication skills. You will have leadership skills, including the ability to motivate staff, organisational and project planning skills, be a strategic thinker and innovative practitioner.

You will have good interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate and promote effective team and partnership working. You will be capable of taking/exercising responsibility and autonomy appropriately. You will have good time management - ability to self-manage and work in a context of high expectations within tight deadlines.

You will be adaptable/flexible, positive, self-motivating & enthusiastic team player.

You will have a full driving licence.
