About
Experienced Mechanic/Service Technician - Join Our Workshop Team
Are you an enthusiastic and hands-on mechanic looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our service and repair team, initially based in our workshop.
The Role
You'll start by focusing on repairs, specifically working on the hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems of various vehicles. This is a workshop-based role for the first few months, so you should be comfortable with a hands-on, and at times, dirty environment.
After a few months, you'll have the opportunity to move into on-site service work. You'll team up with an experienced technician to learn on-site maintenance, repairs, and servicing.
What We're Looking For
A solid background in vehicle mechanics.
Experience with HGV or agricultural vehicles is a plus.
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrics is highly desirable. We can provide training on hydraulics if needed, but a basic understanding is important.
Essential welding experience: you must have experience with steel welding.
Desirable welding skills: experience with aluminium welding (MIG/TIG) is a significant advantage.
A great attitude and a desire to work, including the willingness to take on overtime.
Familiarity with vehicle electrics is a benefit.
The Perks
Premium Pay for On-Site Work: Earn an additional £2.40 per hour when you move to on-site servicing.
Overtime: We offer overtime paid at x1.5 times the standard rate.
Training & Development: We are committed to helping you grow your skills, especially in on-site service and hydraulics.
If you're a hard-working mechanic who's ready to get your hands dirty and advance your career, we want to hear from you.
