  • About the Role
  • We are looking for a Service Delivery Manager to join our busy Employee Service Centre (ESC).
  • The ESC is a busy transactional service that forms part of East Midlands Shared Services. We provide transactional Payroll and HR Administration services to Nottingham City Council and Leicestershire County Council.
  • If variety is what you are looking for, then no two days are the same in the ESC, as there is always something to focus on. The ESC completes over 14,000 payments, produces over 3,000 contractual documents and handles in excess of 2,000 queries each month. As a Service Deliver Manager, you will work closely with your teams to ensure the smooth delivery of these transactions whilst continuously looking for opportunities to improve the service that you deliver.

  • About You

To apply for this post, you must

  • Degree or equivalent professional / management qualification related to Payroll or have substantial experience of managing transactional teams/projects in a pressurised environment.
  • Have detailed knowledge of using Oracle Fusion ERP system
  • Possess strong people management skills and experience managing performance proactively.
  • Proven track record of developing, reviewing, and managing Key Performance Indicators
  • Have experience of working with a diverse set of key stakeholders and partners across all levels, and being able to influence them in order to develop and maintain effective working relationships and a high level of service.
  • Be competent in the use of ICT systems, including Word, Excel, outlook and ticket management systems.
  • Have a proven track record of utilising continuous improvement methods to improve processes within ESC.
  • In addition, we expect you to share our commitment to our values and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the interview process.
