MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • * Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or
  • a related field.
  • * 6 years of experience in product design or UX, developing or prototyping on
  • Android or iOS.
  • * Motion design experience related to physics, patterns, and visual design
  • elements.
  • * Experience in UI development for apps or operating systems (System UI).
  • * Experience designing across multiple platforms, and working with
  • technical/design teams to create user flows, wireframes, and building user
  • interface mockups and prototypes.
  • * Include a portfolio or a link to your work in visual design on your resume
  • (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • * Experience in prototyping and user research.
  • * Experience working within and contributing to design systems, as well as
  • building accessible products.
  • * Experience in interaction design, and product thinking, with excellent visual
  • design skills.
  • * Ability to articulate compelling stories and design decisions.
  • * Ability to design products, prototypes, and demonstrate advanced design
  • skills, including high quality deliverables and processes.
  • * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present a clear design
  • rationale.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • * Test concepts for iteration, research, and validation. Conceive and deliver
  • innovative and engaging prototypes. Drive explorations of experiences across
  • a portfolio of features and products. 
  • * Partner with executive members of the team, promote standards, and integrate
  • changes into guidelines. Collaborate effectively across teams. Contribute to
  • key projects, ensuring a holistic systems-thinking approach and advocating
  • for user needs across platforms and applications. Foster a system-wide design
  • mindset within the team. 
  • * Identify emerging needs, develop interaction design best practices, and
  • contribute to pattern documentation. 
  • * Partner strategically with engineering, product, and Search Foundations.
