We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team in Edinburgh. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and execution of automated test solutions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, secure, and resilient software. You'll play a key part in defining and evolving our test automation strategy in line with global engineering best practices while mentoring junior engineers and promoting a culture of quality across the development lifecycle. Responsibilities: Strong expertise in automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Core Java/Java, and CucumberAct as a senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), preferably with experience in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domainParticipate in refinement sessions to ensure a comprehensive understanding of functional requirements and associated testing needsDefine and implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure adherence to established quality standardsProvide mentorship and guidance to junior SDETs and QA engineers in applying testing and automation best practicesEvaluate, establish, and continuously maintain the scope of testing activities to validate system functionality and sustain consistent product qualityStay current with emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to support the ongoing evolution and optimisation of the automated testing frameworkAdvocate for quality engineering principles across the software development lifecycle and facilitate effective cross-functional collaborationDeep knowledge in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scriptsAna
