What we’re looking for

  • We are looking for a highly experienced and technically skilled Senior Technical Production Manager to join the Broadwick Live team and take full ownership of all production elements at Drumsheds—our flagship venue in London. Reporting directly to the Director of Live Operations, this role will lead on all technical production planning and delivery across our calendar of shows, with responsibility for managing suppliers, advancing artists, and ensuring every event is delivered to the highest creative, technical, and safety standards.
  • This is a senior leadership position within the Live Operations team, requiring a confident communicator, excellent stakeholder manager, and a calm, solutions-oriented presence onsite. You’ll be technically excellent, commercially astute, and passionate about creating exceptional experiences.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Technical Production Leadership
  • Overseeing all technical production across Drumsheds events, from pre-planning through to delivery.
  • Acting as the primary technical lead onsite for both Broadwick shows and external promoter events.
  • Working with the internal planning and creative teams to interpret and deliver the artistic vision for each show.
  • Design & Technical Planning
  • Producing and reviewing detailed technical documentation and production drawings (lighting, video, audio, rigging, power, staging, temporary structures).
  • Managing venue-wide technical infrastructure, ensuring all plans are safe, feasible, and aligned with the venue's operational standards.
  • Collaborating with health and safety teams to ensure all designs comply with relevant legislation and best practice.
  • Suppliers & Budget Management
  • Overseeing the day-to-day management of all technical suppliers.
  • Managing procurement processes and supplier relationships, ensuring effective delivery and cost control.
  • Building and managing production budgets, providing forecasts, and identifying efficiencies without compromising quality.
  • Advancing & Delivery
  • Leading artist technical advancing, including rider reviews, venue overlays, site visits, and on-day fulfilment.
  • Acting as the technical ambassador for external brands and promoters, advising on capabilities and constraints.
  • Ensuring all events are delivered safely and efficiently, with exceptional attention to technical detail.
  • Noise Management
  • Leading the implementation of venue-wide noise management strategies and ensuring compliance at every event.
  • Team Leadership & Cross-Department Collaboration
  • Leading a small team of production staff, including freelance and casual roles.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior production team members, developing a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Acting as the key liaison between the production team and the wider Broadwick Live departments including Operations, Health & Safety, Music, Creative, and Marketing.

You’ll need to have

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in large-scale live event or venue production, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience delivering multi-disciplinary productions at venues of 5,000+ capacity.
  • Expert technical knowledge across rigging, lighting, video, audio, power and staging.
  • Strong commercial skills: capable of managing budgets, negotiating costs, and securing value from suppliers.
  • Excellent stakeholder and artist liaison skills: confident dealing with senior creatives, managers, promoters, and internal teams.
  • High level of competence with CAD software such as Vectorworks or AutoCAD.
  • Clear, calm communicator with the ability to lead under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • A natural leader with experience developing teams and building positive working cultures.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by the event schedule.

Nice to have

  • Formal qualifications in event production.
  • Familiarity with licensing and regulatory requirements in large event spaces.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
