We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Senior support worker to join our Fluoroscopy team in the Imaging directorate at Royal Preston Hospital.
Excellent patient care whilst technical procedures are carried out is the main priority of this post. The post will involve assisting Advanced Practitioners, radiographers and Consultants.
You should hold an NVQ level 2 in Health care ( or equivalent) and be prepared to study for the INCS Level 3 qualification within 18 months of appointment.
You will also be expected to complete the Clinical skills Care Certificate as part of your induction unless already completed.
You will be expected to be flexible in your attitude to work as there may be a requirement to work out of hours, at weekends and Bank holidays.
You will work closely with Fluoroscopy Advanced Radiographers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide support to patients having procedures and diagnostic tests that involve x-rays.

Duties to include, but not be limited to:
• Provide good quality personalised care in accordance with agreed local and national standards
• Undertake duties relevant to the clinical area following achievement of competencies
• Assist to maintain patient safety, confirming to health, safety and security legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines
• Assist in maintaining standards of care to improve the patient experience and outcome of care
• Promote equality in care and practice by recognising, respecting and meeting the needs and choices of individuals
• Contribute to maintaining safe, clean and productive environments, compliant with standards for hygiene and cleanliness
• Actively try to resolve issues and complaints at local level and then report the outcome to line manager
• Maintain and develop own competence
• Process information according to local and national requirements
