  • As a Senior Software Engineer – New Markets, you will play a central role in designing, implementing, and scaling systems that power global trading infrastructure. This position combines technical leadership, hands-on development, and cross-regional collaboration, making you a key driver of expansion into new geographies and markets. You’ll be working on highly critical, high-volume financial applications, contributing directly to strategic growth while ensuring system reliability. With autonomy and ownership, you will guide projects end-to-end, mentor engineering talent, and support operational stability in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Accountabilities

In this role, you will

  • Design, implement, and maintain mission-critical systems powering multi-market trading and brokerage operations.
  • Lead regional recruitment initiatives, mentoring and fostering a strong engineering culture.
  • Collaborate with global tech leads and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, compliant solutions.
  • Act as incident commander during regional hours, ensuring operational stability and proactive reliability engineering.
  • Enhance middle and back-office systems, including gRPC microservices, React-based UIs, and vendor integrations.
  • Support the continuous improvement of core frameworks to handle multiple currencies, markets, and languages.
  • Troubleshoot incidents, investigate bugs, and deliver long-term solutions to maintain platform performance.

To succeed, you should bring

  • Proven experience designing and building complex financial systems, ideally with double-entry accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, ledger structures, and reconciliation processes.
  • Background in creating scalable, high-availability applications for multi-currency financial transactions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in global financial markets.
  • Proficiency in Go or similar backend languages, with expertise in systems architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with financial APIs, market data integrations, and settlement processes.
  • Solid computer science fundamentals, problem-solving skills, and ability to architect innovative solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating across globally distributed teams.
  • Capacity to work independently in a remote-first, fast-paced environment, with the ability to lead under pressure.
  • Experience with domain-driven and event-driven design.
  • Nice-to-have: prior experience in fintech or financial services, startup or scale-up environments, vendor management, organizational budgeting, and/or passion for financial markets.
