- Company DescriptionCell therapies have been shown to cure devastating and previously untreatable diseases like cancer by re-programming the patient's own immune system. Giving more patients access to these life-saving therapies requires a revolution in manufacturing and process automation. Cellular Origins, a TTP Company, is enabling scalable, cost-effective and efficient manufacture of cell and gene therapies. Our technology addresses the challenges associated with manufacturing at scale with an elegant robotic manufacturing automation solution that reduces cost and labour, eliminates human error, and increases efficiency. Job DescriptionAre you ready to use cutting-edge robotics and software to revolutionise the future of personalised medicine and make life-saving therapies accessible to all? At Cellular Origins, we're on a mission to accelerate the adoption of cell and gene therapies – treatments that are transforming the fight against incurable diseases like cancer. We’re achieving this by bringing advanced automation, previously unseen in this field, to the manufacturing process. As a Senior Robotic Software Engineer, you won't just be coding; you'll be at the forefront of this revolution, combining technical leadership with hands-on system design, testing, and delivery. You’ll work closely within the Robotics Team and take ownership of advanced robotic subsystems, from initial design, through development, and to seamless integration within the Constellation platform. This means shaping the entire software development lifecycle, from analysis and system architecture to prototype design, implementation, rigorous testing, and managing timelines. Your expertise will be vital in developing high-performance control systems for Integrated Mobile Robots (IMRs); combining 6-DoF robotic arms and AMRs, with sophisticated machine vision systems, while leveraging industry standards like ROS2 and protocols such as MQTT to create reliable, adaptable robotic solutions. Your contributions will directly enable scalable, cost-effective, and space-efficient manufacture of these vital therapies. QualificationsExtensive experience working with industrial robotic systems, including mobile robots, multi-DoF arms, and machine vision systems. At least 3 years proven industry experience in robotics or automation, preferably with a bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Strong proficiency in Python, and familiarity with CI/CD practices and version control. Expertise in ROS 1/2, industrial network protocols, and debugging control systems for robotics and automation. Proven ability to develop and debug code for safety-critical systems with robust automation and control features.
