We are a UK-based SaaS company building a modern microservices-driven platform (Python Django, PostgreSQL, Redis, GraphQL, gRPC, MQTT, React, Flutter). We have a junior developer who wants to become a strong full-stack tester, and we are looking for an experienced mentor to train her over 90 days. This is not a theory role. We want someone who can teach by doing, reviewing real work and guiding hands-on practice. 🎯 What You’ll Be Responsible For Mentor a junior developer for 90 days Teach practical testing, not just concepts Cover: Backend API testing (REST, GraphQL, gRPC) DB validation (PostgreSQL) Cache validation (Redis) Async systems (MQTT) Microservices testing strategies Frontend testing basics (React + Flutter) Review: Test cases Bug reports API collections Debugging approaches Conduct: 2–3 mentoring sessions per week Weekly progress reviews Provide: Clear learning roadmap Feedback and improvement guidance 🧰 Required Skills ✅ Strong experience in: Python / Django ecosystems API testing (Postman / Insomnia) PostgreSQL & basic SQL Microservices architecture Redis (cache behavior & validation) GraphQL & REST APIs ✅ Experience with: gRPC OR MQTT (at least one deeply) Teaching / mentoring / team lead roles ✅ Strong communication skills ✅ Able to explain complex systems simply 🚫 Not a Fit If You: Only know automation theory Cannot explain why bugs happen Haven’t worked with real production systems Don’t enjoy teaching ⏱ Engagement Details Duration: 90 days Time commitment: 5–8 hrs/week Timezone: Flexible (some overlap with IST preferred) Budget: Competitive (based on experience) 📝 How to Apply (IMPORTANT) To be considered, include answers to the following: Briefly explain how you would train a junior tester in 90 days.
