As a Senior Procurement Business Partner, you will play a central role in elevating procurement's influence, driving improved commercial decision-making, and leading some of the organisation's most high profile, high value projects-often ranging from £50m to £100m. You'll act as a strategic adviser to Directors and Service Leads, shaping business cases, challenging procurement approaches, and leading end-to-end delivery across a diverse portfolio of goods, works and services. This is not a "procurement police" role. The organisation has moved decisively towards a business partnering model where procurement is at the forefront of decision-making and recognised for the value it brings.What You'll LeadDelivery of major, complex, high risk procurement and commissioning projects.Development and implementation of category strategies using insight, market intelligence and commercial acumen.Influencing senior stakeholders and shaping strategic direction.Embedding best practice, compliance and continuous improvement across the council's procurement activity.Acting as a trusted partner throughout the commissioning cycle-from business case development through to award.You will also be empowered with a high degree of autonomy-enabled to innovate, introduce new ideas, and directly influence outcomes across some of the largest directorates.What you'll
