- Role Overview
- The Senior People Development Partner acts as a strategic advisor and partner to the business, ensuring that learning initiatives align with organisational goals and drive performance. This role is part of the People Partnering team and is responsible for identifying capability gaps, designing and delivering learning solutions, and fostering a culture of continuous development. You will also line manage one direct report.
- Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand priorities and translate them into people development strategies
- Develop and evolve career pathways as the business and people structures change
- Conduct skills gap analysis and capability assessments across teams
- Design, implement, deliver and evaluate learning workshops and tailored programmes (e.g. leadership, line management, technical training, core skills)
- Work with the People Business Partners to continuously review key processes such as annual and mid-year reviews, probationary processes and talent reviews to ensure that leaders are trained and empowered to lead high performing teams
- Partner with psychometric profiling providers to roll out firm-wide behavioural profiles, including organising and running team workshops
- Ensure all mandatory compliance training is accurate, engaging, and meets regulatory requirements
- Track and provide advice on employees’ qualification pathways, including designing and updating training policies, clawback arrangements and training agreements
- Ensure that new and engaging training is available through the LMS
- Maintain external relationships by networking and attending events to ensure that FRP leads with innovation and people development initiatives that are right for the business
- Champion a learning and coaching culture that promotes growth, innovation, and knowledge sharing
- Use data and insights to recommend targeted development programmes and measure success
- Qualifications
- CIPD or equivalent qualification (desirable)
- Proven experience in strategic L&D/OD and proven success of close partnership with people business partners
- Familiarity with compliance training requirements and leadership development best practices
- Ability to design and deliver programmes and workshops
- A creative mindset, able to contribute new ideas and see through to fruition
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Ability to analyse data and measure learning impact
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Strong understanding of compliance training requirements in a regulated sector
