- We are looking for a London based Senior Motion & Content Designer who can bring experience and qualities to enhance our already talented team working efficiently across multiple projects and time zones.
- Overview
- What is the purpose of the job?
- To create and manage the businesses global moving image requirements, motion design, video edits, video shoots, social media content and various other internal and external animation requirements.
- Interpretation of design briefs and their translation into innovative and creative solutions.
- To proactively drive creative motion design solutions through all projects and business.
- To drive innovative technical solutions for media.
- To lead detailed creative response and be the conduit or content ideas
- To lead, manage and inspire team members and freelancers
- Maintain a creative and efficient video workflow across all platforms.
- To develop creative ideas and content strategies for marketing across social media and other digital platforms such as media and blogs.
- To manage and lead team members and freelancers for video related projects.

- What do you have to achieve?
- Client satisfaction
- Creative development of the client’s brief to ensure the goals of the brief are met
- Generate ideas and solutions that meet the brief across multiple media, video, graphic design etc
- The visualisation of a brief from draft concepts to innovative design solutions
- Effective use of the creative process framework
- On time delivery of all creative material from all relevant teams, produced to the highest standard
- Partnership with other disciplines to ensure effective delivery and information flow
- Maintain a consistent motion brand presence across all motion marketing platforms.
- Job Activities – what do you have to do?
- Manage the DesignScene online presence and marketing with a focus on animated graphics, texts, videos and sound dependant on the message and target audience.
- Generate creative ideas and suggest alternatives as appropriate.
- Play part in pitch presentations.
- Help “sell in” ideas to the CEO and Client.
- Liaise with Clients where required, leading creative presentations and discussions.
- Manage the whole design process from concept to final execution ensuring quality is maintained at every step.
- Sketch out concepts to demonstrate likely outcome and discuss initial look and feel with production team.
- Manage other team members to ensure appropriate and accurate work is created on time e.g. relevant artwork.
- Working with production team evaluate all design output to ensure fit for purpose and stays true to the original design.
- Regularly evaluate market in order to keep pace with changing trends.
- Liaise with production team and suppliers as required.
- To negotiate cost effective quotes for relevant aspects of the brief.
- Plan ahead in terms of managing time zone differences across international teams.
- Visit sites to ensure understanding of the space and allow creation of appropriate design development where necessary.
- Lead & manage content of all digital live show assets. Ensure efficient and accurate delivery of assets to Client and technical production.
- Operate & advise of running order and triggering of all digital on-site assets.
- Lead and assists on on-site digital documentation. Photography and Filming for portfolio.
- Manage and maintain a productive and progressive working environment for junior team members. Create opportunities for constant creative growth and training.

- What technical knowledge do you need?
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of print, web and other digital processes and solutions including HTML
- Strong technical knowledge of creative design
- Competent in the use of Apple computers and Adobe creative suites
- An understanding of Industry jargon
- Strong understanding of motion design workflows from initial development to end delivery.
- Strong understanding of all delivery methods. Filetypes, Resolutions and codecs.
- Detailed Knowledge of on-site Media playback and servers.
- Detailed Knowledge of all Video playback devices. LED and projector technical specifications and limitations.
- Technical knowledge of video and photography capture. Video and still cameras.
- Understanding of audio capture & editing.
