- Imagine being part of a cutting-edge project that’s revolutionizing the way we approach technology - like being at the forefront of drone development before drones were mainstream. No need to imagine: at Crover, we are a pioneering, award-winning team that has developed the world's first robotic device capable of swimming through dense granular media like sand, grains, and powders—the CROVER robot!
- Our primary product, the CROVER Robotic Grain Storage Management system, helps grain storage operators detect critical issues such as hotspots early on, ensuring the quality of cereal grains and oilseeds like corn, soybeans, wheat, and barley in bulk storage. #SavingGrains
- We have grown to a team of over 22 professionals spread across the globe. We are looking for the next key hire in Edinburgh, Scotland to help us continue to grow and deliver value to our customers.
- If you are a guru in the design of functional and cutting-edge hardware products and mechanisms that customers love, you might the person that we are looking for to help scale our groundbreaking technology.
- Job Description
- We’re offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly-skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer with a passion for creating user-centric, functional, and intuitive robotic hardware products to lead the design of new versions of the CROVER robots. In this role, you'll lead the mechanical and product design of robots that swim through granular environments, like grain, sand, and other granular media. These systems don’t just need to work: they need to be elegant, easy to assemble and service, and delightful to use. You’ll combine robust engineering with thoughtful product design to develop robots that are technically impressive, while also being physically compelling and user-centric. From internal mechanisms to exterior forms, you’ll own the design of hardware that feels purposeful and refined at every level.
