Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Tooling Location: Barrow-In-Furness (On-site) Salary: £42,000+ Depending on experience What you’ll be doing: Responsible for all aspects of tooling from procurement to final delivery, liaising with all stakeholders and providing guidance and reporting as requiredProvide specialist advice on tooling options (applicability for task) and support the operations teams with tooling issues and problem solving where requiredLeading tooling, calibration and capability reviews as neededBe responsible for communicating and working with a variety of stakeholders to deliver packages of work which achieve a ‘business best practice’ solutionProvide functional support to local and business wide improvement initiatives. (e.g. Visual management, Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People, Learning from experience etc.)Lead, develop, and motivate any reporting and assigned staff through good communications, open and honest management techniques, in keeping with the Company values, policies, & proceduresResponsible for identifying own development opportunitiesBuild effective internal and cross functional relationships to achieve overall Project requirements Your skills and experiences: Able to work as part of a multi-disciplined team and provide guidance to early careers engineers as part of their developmentAccountability of onsite tooling contract management within remit for ME tooling team (i.e. tooling trials on-site)HNC qualification or equivalent experience in mechanical or structural engineeringBackground in manufacturing or production environmentsExperience working with build aids, jigs/fixtures, or construction toolingExposure to interim products or sub-assemblies within high-hazar
