Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer Location: Cowes, Isle of Wight Salary: Up to £56,140 dependent on experience. Part time & accruing hours available. Please let us know if you would like to discuss these options What you’ll be doing: Apply depth and breadth of Manufacturing Engineering knowledge and experience to Support/undertake development in the following disciplines: Electromechanical assemblyInterpret production drawing data to identify & generate: Tooling requirements, Manufacturing process requirements, handling & safety requirements, estimation of assembly times, methods/routingsCreate and maintain manufacturing work instructions, effective/efficient/practical shopfloor layoutsConduct the following health and safety related activities: Risk, COSHH, PUWER, Manual handling assessmentsUndertake technical liaison with sub-contractors and customersDevelop training packages to ensure modern technologies and processes are understood and correctly implementedWork alongside development teams to ensure Design for Manufacture is considered for all new products Your skills and experiences: Experience of working in a Manufacturing EnvironmentRequires a good understanding in MRP/ERP systemsExcellent understanding of Production Engineering principlesAn ability to read and understand engineering drawings, circuit diagrams etc.HNC/D qualification in engineering, or time served equivalent Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive. <p
