  • As the Senior Manager, International Media Group, you will lead a team of International Media Managers running media campaigns for Sony PlayStation products worldwide. In this role, you will drive media and operational excellence while fostering collaboration between global and local teams. As an integrated team at the core of Global Media, the International Media Group delivers local expertise at a global level to improve planning outcomes. As a leader, you will give territories a voice at the table, representing their unique opportunities, requirements, and goals during the moments that matter most. You will also play a key role in retaining core business and market knowledge within the organization, contributing to the progression and development of the international community.
  • To excel, you should possess experience building strong partnerships with local teams to achieve global and local alignment. A deep understanding of territory nuances is also required to ensure the successful execution of media campaigns. In addition, a strong background in digital media strategy is vital, including the ability to link digitally driven media plans to larger Sony Media objectives. You will have an opportunity to improve, innovate and/or pioneer new ideas over multiple areas or functions related to media. Main Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead and manage the development and integration of media plans that drive brand growth and revenue.
  • Ensure global and local media activations support the accomplishment of sales and revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams —to align and implement global media strategies.
  • Maintain strong engagement with collaborators and partners throughout campaign planning and execution, while proactively assessing performance and recommending improvements.
  • Co-develop joint business plans that translate global transformation into meaningful local impact.
  • Partner with Global Media Planning and Investment to develop multi-market media deals, driving cost efficiencies and innovation.
  • Lead the creation and upkeep of local campaign portfolio views, making sure there is consistency in media activations, targeting, channel investment, and performance measures.
  • Work alongside Agency Management to shape local agency scopes and refine processes to improve effectiveness.
  • Assist in developing and implementing measurement frameworks, collaborating with media agencies and internal teams to enhance optimization and alignment with critical metrics and business objectives.
  • Safeguard all campaigns from avoidable brand safety risks. Provide strategic recommendations to leadership where media adjustments are needed.
  • Maintain deep expertise in the media landscape and emerging opportunities, while driving media education across the broader marketing organization.

Leadership

  • Lead and advance team by cultivating an innovative, high-performing culture rooted in trust, transparency, and ongoing learning.
  • Strengthen operating models between global media and local campaign teams to improve end-to-end planning and execution.
  • Promote media campaign excellence by using test-and-learn strategies, data-driven insights, and shared findings to guide future global initiatives.
  • Drive enrichment initiatives within the media manager community, building consistent knowledge on priority topics and reinforcing thought leadership, teamwork, and global connectivity.
  • Join the Responsible Media Steering Committee to support sustainability and responsibility at PlayStation.
  • Promote professional growth by providing training, mentorship, and coaching that supports individual development and team success.
  • Act as the main point of contact for senior leadership, offering access to media opportunities, performance, and issues.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Strengthen cross-functional partnership between International and Global Media teams by enhancing communication workflows and aligning priorities across markets.
  • Drive improved media planning outcomes by integrating International Media insights into multichannel strategies, working closely with Territory Campaign Managers and Global Media teams.
  • Successfully integrate global and local tactical media plans that deliver on marketing objectives, increasing brand visibility, audience engagement, and conversion.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in digital marketing, including significant hands-on involvement in planning and managing large-scale, multichannel campaigns.
  • Demonstrated success in global or international media roles, with a proven track record of developing and implementing strategic media initiatives across diverse markets.
  • Passionate about people development, with experience cultivating high-performing teams.
  • Shown ability to lead multiple sophisticated projects in a fast-paced environment, balancing priorities and delivering on schedule.
  • Background in working with or leading paid media agencies, including oversight of large budgets, high campaign volume, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills with digital marketing metrics, audience strategy, and performance reporting.
  • Confident communicator with polished presentation skills, capable of influencing senior leadership and driving alignment across cross-functional teams.

Candidate Preferred Qualities

  • Bachelor's degree, MBA, or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Manager who can complete, establish, and maintain scalable and sustainable processes for a new and expanding team.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-starter with passion, energy, and enthusiasm to get results and make a meaningful impact.
