About Client We provide outsourced finance and fractional FD support to growing UK and international businesses. We specialise in hands-on delivery, clean finance operations first, insight and strategy layered on top. We’re looking to add a Senior Management Accountant to support a group year-end consolidation project, with the opportunity for ongoing monthly work across this client and our wider portfolio. This is a delivery-focused role, suited to someone who enjoys getting stuck into complex Excel models and making them work reliably under time pressure. The Immediate Requirement (Year-End Focus) You’ll support the roll-forward of a complex Excel-based group consolidation file for a £7m turnover group with 5 entities: • 3 UK entities (GBP) • 1 Swedish entity (SEK) • 1 Croatian entity (EUR) • 1 dormant UK entity (balance sheet only) Key tasks: • Roll forward last year’s master consolidation file into the new year • Extend formulas and structures across all relevant tabs • Ensure opening balances and comparative periods roll correctly • Validate intercompany eliminations (logic provided) • Sense-check multi-currency consolidation outputs • Flag risks, breakpoints, or fragile areas clearly The model already works, this is about careful, accurate execution, not redesign. You’ll be supported with: • A Loom walkthrough of the file • Direct access to the lead consultant for clarification • Clear expectations on timing and outputs Timing • Immediate start • Ideally Monday–Tuesday • Expected to take 1–2 full days initially Ongoing Opportunity (If a Good Fit) If this engagement goes well, the role will extend into: • Monthly group management accounts for this client • Further refinement and light process improvements to the consolidation file • Month-end and reporting support across other clients • Ongoing commitment of ~3 days per week or more What We’re Looking For Essential • Strong experience as a Management Accountant or Senior MA • Advanced Excel skills (comfortable with large, multi-tab models) • Hands-on experience with: • Group consolidations • Intercompany eliminations • Multi-currency reporting • Able to understand and work within existing spreadsheet logic • Clear communicator, flags issues early and explains them simply • Comfortable working independently once briefed Nice to Have • Practice or outsourced finance background • Experience supporting multiple clients • Comfort working with imperfect legacy files Working Style & Fit This role suits someone who: • Is delivery-first and practical • Doesn’t need over-structuring • Enjoys problem-solving inside Excel • Communicates clearly and proactively • Can become a trusted extension of a lean finance team Contract & Rate • Freelance / contractor basis • Initial short engagement, with strong potential for ongoing work • Rate: USD $10-25 per hour (depending on experience and speed)
