Interim Senior Financial Accountant £400 to £500 p/day Interim, Full time North West (hybrid/remote working) Interim Senior Financial Accountant opportunity to add value to an evolving Local Authority in the North West for a 6 to 9 -month interim assignment. As the Interim Senior Financial Accountant you will support the Head of Finance over and through the year end close down period: Key responsibilities of the Interim Senior Financial Accountant: Provide essential year-end support, ensuring all financial statements are compliant with the CIPFA Code of Practice and outputs meet external audit standards and organisational requirements. Review and quality-check working papers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.Coordinate and maintain the year-end timetable, working closely with internal teams to ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met.Lead the preparation and management of the Comprehensive Income & Expenditure Statement, MiRs and supporting Notes to the Accounts as per the timetable, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to resolve queries and ensure a smooth, efficient year-end close.
