Senior Executive Services Officer Full-time, continuing position supporting Sydney Future Students (SFS) Key research, executive support, and governance role Base Salary $112,628 +17% superannuation About the opportunity The Senior Executive Services Officer provides high-level research, executive and governance support to the Associate Vice-President, Sydney Future Students (AVP), and the Sydney Future Students (SFS) Leadership Team. Sydney Future Students leads the University’s domestic and international recruitment, admissions, student mobility, partnerships, and widening participation and outreach objectives, with specialist staff located both onshore and in-country. Reporting to the SFS Operations Manager and based within the SFS Operations Team, this role also supports SFS-wide operations, systems and ways of working. In this role, you will deliver research and analysis on higher education issues, prepare high-quality written advice, and support strategic decision-making across SFS. You will coordinate the AVP’s priorities, including meetings, events, travel, stakeholder engagement, governance and compliance activities, while managing information flow and contributing to projects that advance the University’s student recruitment and strategic objectives. Key responsibilities include: Conduct research, benchmarking and analysis to inform planning and executive decision-making Prepare high-quality executive documentation, including briefings, reports, submissions and committee papers Provide professional executive support to the AVP, including complex diary management and coordination of meetings, events and travel Act as a key point of contact for AVP enquiries, assessing urgency and responding or escalating as required Support governance processes, including agendas, minutes, decision records and compliance requirements Ensure compliance with University policies, improve administrative systems, and contribute to SFS Operations projects as required About you You thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment and bring strong research, executive support and stakeholder management capabilities. You will have: Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience, with strong research and analytical skills Excellent written communication skills for senior and executive audiences Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience supporting senior executives Strong relationship management skills, with tact, discretion and sound judgement Proven ability to prioritise, manage competing deadlines and work independently or collaboratively Experience in higher education or a large, complex organisation, with knowledge of governance frameworks or the ability to quickly acquire it Sponsorship / work rights for Australia You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply.
