The successful Senior Estimator will be responsible not only for delivering high-quality tenders, but for implementing structure, process and long-term commercial strategy The Senior Estimator Role and Responsibilities This Senior Estimator position combines hands-on tendering with departmental leadership, leading on refurbishment and maintenance projects for both public and private clients. Establish and formalise the estimating function within the businessDesign and implement structured estimating systems and processesIntroduce improved tools, methodologies and data-driven practicesBuild scalable procedures to support business growth Prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive tender submissionsAnalyse drawings, specifications and contract documentationIdentify commercial risks and value engineering opportunitiesWork closely with operational teams to ensure buildability and programme awarenessLiaise with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing Improve tender win rates and margin performanceBenchmark estimating performance and drive continuous improvementSupport directors in identifying new markets, frameworks and opportunitiesContribute commercially to overall business growth Experience/ Skills of the Senior Estimator
