  • The Role
  • As the Senior Digital Content Manager (maternity cover) at Fastmarkets, you will join us at an exciting period of marketing transformation and brand investment. This role is responsible for the creation of high-quality creative content aligned to our commercial goals and pivotal as we evolve our brand’s identity and grow our presence.
  • Working within the content team, you will lead our recently established in-house creative team. You will appreciate and enjoy process whilst having a creative mindset. You will be responsible for our production workflow, marshalling resources to meet agreed SLAs with stakeholders (sales, marketing, product and editorial) and reviewing and approving work to ensure it meets our quality standards. You will be instrumental in crafting copy, developing data visualisations and delivering rich media (video and podcasts) that reflect our high standards and resonate with our audiences.
  • Your leadership skills will shine through, enabling you to coach and inspire a high-performing creative team. You will provide hands-on guidance and direction during creative production and ensure brand activity is consistent and flawlessly executed. This could mean in the morning you are editing and reviewing Monday.com briefs and influencing them to drive an improved outcome, and in the afternoon developing a video script using Jasper.ai to ideate your messaging and providing feedback to the senior designer on a whitepaper design.
  • Leaning on your experience you will help optimise content production, drive collaboration, and leverage tools (including AI), performance insights and innovative concepts to improve creative execution and performance. A skilled and experienced creative marketing professional, you know how to manage multiple projects at once and understand when to lean on and manage external design and production agencies, ensuring deliverables meet the brief.
  • Creative success will be measured through positive feedback from stakeholders, hitting agreed SLAs and working towards individual and shared objectives. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with the Head of Content, content managers and the digital team, to demonstrate content effectiveness through engagement and reach across platforms, tracking performance metrics including click-through rates, time spent on page, form fills, podcast listens, video views etc.
  • Principal Accountabilities
  • Lead an in-house creative team (senior designer, copywriter and digital content creator), fostering a collaborative, innovative and high-performing environment
  • Oversee the workflow of requests for the team, encouraging optimisation of processes to improve execution and meet SLAs, and collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Review and direct creative work across media, in particular podcasts and video and ensure consistent, high-quality output
  • Contribute to the evolution and governance of our brand. Collaborate with different teams and agencies to ensure brand guidelines are followed, creating consistency and stand-out
  • Ensure the team has access to and leverages customer, market and performance insights
  • Work with and manage the performance of external design and production agencies, ensuring deliverables meet our high-quality standards and brand guidelines
  • Regularly review and assess the current creative toolkit to ensure it is fit-for-purpose in an evolving marketing environment
  • Drive innovation through test and learn projects involving new AI tools, platforms and formats, establish metrics for success and share outcomes with the wider marketing team
  • Coach your team, working towards agreed OKRs, metrics and PDPs
  • KEY INTERFACES
  • Lead an in-house creative team of four (senior designer, copywriter and digital content creator)
  • Collaborate with different marketing colleagues (demand generation, product marketers, growth marketer, social media and PR etc) to plan, deliver and optimise marketing campaigns
  • Support with colleagues in sales, product development and more to take Fastmarkets’ products and services to market

  • We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, driven, and have a passion to be part of a fast-paced, successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.

Essential

  • At least 7 years of experience in content production or content marketing either in-house B2B, B2C or agency. 3 years’+ people management experience, including management of freelancers and agency partners
  • A track record in managing the development and execution of campaigns and always-on content, from ideation through to measurement and optimisation
  • Demonstrable experience and success developing branded video and podcast franchises
  • A passion for innovation and an excitement to explore new channels and formats, and a curiosity to explore new tools with an emphasis on how AI can be used effectively to improve production workflows
  • Hands-on experience with a creative content marketing tool kit that includes Monday.com, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and Flourish data studio (or their equivalent)
  • A strong and persuasive communicator with excellent writing skills and the ability to direct creative work

  • Experience in a highly regulated environment
  • Knowledge of commodity markets, particularly metals, agriculture, and forest products
