  • This role offers an opportunity to lead and optimize DevOps automation within a highly secure environment. You will operate and maintain Puppet Enterprise infrastructure, drive continuous improvements, and enhance security and efficiency across systems. As a key technical expert, you will support colleagues in adopting best practices, perform upgrades, refactor infrastructure, and improve deployment processes. Working remotely across the EU, you will contribute to large-scale projects, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and secure automation solutions for critical IT environments.
  • Accountabilities

As Senior DevOps/Automation Engineer (Puppet), your main responsibilities include

  • Operate, maintain, and upgrade Puppet Enterprise infrastructure to ensure compliance and security.
  • Support colleagues and teams in adopting Puppet Enterprise for their workflows.
  • Refactor and improve the Puppet infrastructure for efficiency, security, and maintainability.
  • Enhance agent upgrades, task dependencies, and deployment automation processes.
  • Implement best practices to improve overall security posture of Puppet Enterprise installations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize processes and ensure successful automation adoption.
  • Participate in large-scale projects involving Puppet Enterprise solutions, server automation, and deployment standardization.

The ideal candidate will bring

  • 9+ years of experience in ICT roles such as developer, system administrator, software engineer, infrastructure engineer, or DevOps engineer.
  • 3+ years working in international or multi-cultural environments.
  • 3+ years of IT operations and Linux/Unix administration experience, preferably Red Hat 8+.
  • 5+ years of experience with Puppet-based configuration management design, architecture, development, deployment, and administration.
  • Participation in at least 3 projects involving Puppet Enterprise solutions on Linux/Unix.
  • Participation in at least 2 projects involving server automation and standardization using scripting (Powershell, Python, Bash, etc.).
  • 3+ years of experience working in Agile methodology, preferably SCRUM.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps principles and best practices, including CI/CD, automation, feedback loops, and efficiency improvements.
  • Puppet Enterprise Certification (mandatory).
  • Expert-level proficiency in Puppet Enterprise infrastructure management and DevOps practices.
  • Must be an EU citizen and eligible to work remotely from EU countries.
