With in-house design and manufacturing expertise, the company provides innovative solutions for extreme environments worldwide.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Design Engineer with a strong interest in manufacturing, looking to develop a long-term career within a well-established and reputable production environment.As a Senior Design Engineer, you will oversee complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and ensure high-quality designs meet customer specifications and industry standards. Some hybrid working is possible, though you will need to be close to the business during the initial stages.South East / Cambridge Key Responsibilities:Lead the design of subsea technology combining functions such as breathing gases, fluids, electrical power, communication, hydraulics, and pneumatics, for seismic, defence, subsea technology (e.g., Diving)Select and size functional components (hoses, cables, optical fibres), and determine lay-up, insulation and jacket materials, braiding, armouring, and overall configuration to meet customer specifications, industry standards, and in-house requirements.Write test specifications and qualification procedures for the subsea scenarios such as tension, torsion, compression, and cyclic bending, when required.Provide technical support to production teams during manufacturing to ensure quality and conformity to design.Investigate and resolve cable-related field failures or performance issues, implementing robust design improvements.<stron
