Our client, a leading commodity trading firm, is looking for an experienced Senior Derivatives Accountant to join their Corporate Reporting team. Your responsibilities will include: Leading and enhancing the hedge accounting framework, ensuring robust documentation, effectiveness testing, and compliance across commodities, FX, and interest rate instruments.Overseeing derivative valuations and reporting, including mark-to-market calculations, interest accruals, and performance analysis for P&L and balance sheet reporting.Driving Treasury and Trading system integration with SAP, ensuring accuracy and efficiency of financial data flows.Contributing to finance transformation projects, such as Treasury Management System implementation and accounting process improvements.Partnering with internal stakeholders to support financial reporting, audits, and treasury-related transactions, ensuring consistency and strong financial controls. You will need to have the following experience: Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).Understanding of IFRS standards (IAS 32, IFRS 7/9) and their practical application.Experience of hedge accounting within upstream oil and gas commodity marketsAdvanced Excel and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across Finance, Treasury, and Trading teams.A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to deliver under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Experience of using a Treasury Management System is preferred.
