Senior Data Protection Officer Edinburgh (Hybrid: 1 day per week in office) £85,000 + Bonus A leading global professional services firm is looking for a Senior Data Protection Officer to join their team and play a key role in data protection and regulatory compliance. With offices across the UK, Europe, and Asia, this is an opportunity to join a respected organisation that has been supporting financial institutions and corporate clients internationally for over 60 years. The Role Working within a collaborative compliance function, you'll support the firm's data protection framework and ensure ongoing alignment with global privacy and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Support the firm's data protection compliance programme, policies, and governance.Provide advice on data handling, privacy risks, and regulatory requirements.Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure data compliance across operations and client engagements.Contribute to training, awareness, and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements 3-5 years' experience in a compliance, DPO, or data protection role.Strong understanding of UK and international data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR).Experience working in a regulated or professional services environment (e.g. financial services, consultancy).Confident communicator with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
