Our team is centered around supplying data and data expertise to technical and business customers alike. We solve complex and interesting problems every day and there’s always more to learn. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for helping our business customers meet their operational and data analytics needs. The first 6 months of this role will be centered on learning and migrating to a new cloud architecture and helping develop strategies for other teams in our organization as they move to the new platform. We have projects in the pipeline to develop a suite of data management and utilization tools to support teams as they migrate their data processes and data sharing practices. We are looking for someone to help support other highly technical and moderately technical teams across the organization. If you love learning, you are looking in the right direction! There are nearly infinite layers of complexity in healthcare data, and our team touches nearly all of it in some way or another. You will be expected to operate very independently, but with backup and guidance from your leader and your team. Key Responsibilities: Learn Constantly: New technologies, new practices, new data. Design and develop solutions to help support operational and analytics needs. Help create, manage, and monitor data processes in a cloud environment. Requirements: Strong SQL on multiple platforms (MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres, Spark, etc.) Some scripting language experience. Python preferred, but other skills may transfer. Strong data engineering experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supplying data to analytics teams. Experience building business analytics solutions (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) Experience in Power Platform Experience in data warehousing Experience in Azure Backed Cloud environments (ASA, Databricks, Snowflake) Additional Information: Curiosity and a strong aptitude for learning goes a long way with this team. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $106,900 - $147,000 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
