We are pleased to be working on behalf of a global insurance provider, who require an experienced and Senior Underwriter to join their growing UK construction / engineering department underwriting and producing insurance and reinsurance business within authority levels.Responsibilities:Candidates will be responsible for the underwriting of cases in a consistent and technical manner within the authority limit.You will act as the primary contact for larger sized domestic and international clients.You will support more junior underwriters within the team, acting as a mentor.Experience:Candidates need to come from an engineering or construction underwriting background and have knowledge of the UK or international construction market.You will be calm, flexible, diplomatic and have strong commercial acumen.You will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications and CRM systemsIn return candidates can expect to receive a competitive basic salary and a leading benefits package including enhanced pension, PMI (including family), 32 days holiday bank holidays, bonus potential etc.
