Senior Construction ManagerA leading construction and development organisation is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to support the delivery of a major commercial building project in central Cambridge. This high-value scheme requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate complex subcontract packages from early works through to completion.What you'll do Manage trade contractors across working drawings, procurement, prefabrication, and on-site performance.Oversee subcontractors, labour and material planning, supporting Project Managers with both on-site and off-site activities.Coordinate build and MEP trades to ensure smooth sequencing, safe working, and efficient delivery.Resolve site issues proactively, reporting defects, identifying improvements, and refining construction methodologies.Lead internal works from start on site to handover, ensuring programme, quality, and safety targets are met.Manage multiple trade packages including fit-out, MEP, finishes, logistics, and site interfaces.Drive collaborative planning sessions to align interior and finishes works with overall project delivery.Maintain quality standards, track workmanship, and prevent legacy defects through structured inspections.Provide strong site leadership through inductions, toolbox talks, pre-task briefings, and adherence to company procedures.Oversee snagging, commissioning and documentation to ensure a smooth and well-prepared handover.
