Role Overview
The Senior Care Assistant will provide leadership, guidance, and support to the care team, ensuring the delivery of consistently high-quality, person-centred care. Responsibilities include medication administration, monitoring and reporting any changes in residents’ conditions, and promoting best practice in all aspects of care delivery. The role requires a professional approach, strong communication skills, and confidence when engaging with healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.

Required Experience and Qualifications
Demonstrable leadership or mentoring experience within an elderly care or dementia care setting
Proven ability to deliver exceptional person-centred care
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), achieved or currently being undertaken
Primary Responsibilities
Ensure full compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures
Complete risk assessments and maintain accurate, up-to-date care plans reflecting each resident’s needs and preferences
Adhere to professional standards, internal policies, and all regulatory requirements as set out by the Care Quality Commission (CQC)
