I’m looking for a senior-level AWS Cloud Engineer who works as an independent contractor to provide biweekly mentorship on both cloud architecture and the business side of remote contracting. This is not a task-based job. I’m specifically seeking someone who enjoys guiding others and can teach from real-world contractor experience. What I Need Help With • AWS cloud architecture design • Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform preferred) • Serverless workflows (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SNS, SQS) • Data pipelines (Athena, Glue, ETL best practices) • Cost optimization strategies • Reviewing my AWS projects and helping me improve them • Structuring a strong cloud portfolio • Contractor mindset: proposals, positioning, communication • How to land remote contract roles outside Upwork • Interview prep for cloud engineering and DevOps contract roles Ideal Mentor Background • 7+ years AWS experience • Strong serverless experience • Terraform / CloudFormation • Experience working as a contractor for U.S./EU companies • Clear English communication • Enjoys teaching, helping, and giving structured guidance Engagement Details • 1–2 hours every two weeks • Remote, ongoing mentorship • Initial term: 2–3 months (extendable) • Hourly rate: $40–$80/hr (based on experience) • ONLY accepting applicants from: U.S., Canada, U.K., Western Europe If you have real contractor experience and enjoy helping others grow, I would love to work with you.
