121 Teaching Assistant (TA) - Urgent Temporary Position, some personal care involved Job Type: Temporary (until July)Location: Birmingham We urgently require a 121 Teaching Assistant (TA) to support a male pupil with a physical disability. This role includes some basic intimate care responsibilities and is crucial for ensuring the pupil's wellbeing and safety throughout the school day. Day-to-day of the role: Provide one-to-one support to a Year 6 pupil, ensuring his safety, comfort, and engagement in school activities.Assist the pupil with mobility needs, including transferring between his wheelchair and toilet, and accessing the wet room.Support the pupil's educational and personal development in a respectful and nurturing manner.Work closely with educational staff and the pupil's family to ensure a cohesive approach to his care and education. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in a similar role, particularly in providing one-to-one support and intimate care for children with physical disabilities.Understanding and ability to handle the sensitive nature of intimate care with professionalism and empathy.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.Immediate availability, as this is an urgent requirement.
