SEND Teaching Assistant Daily Rate: £95 - £120Location: PlumsteadJob Type: Temporary We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Plumstead. This role involves working with pupils who have challenging behaviours, providing them with the support they need to succeed in their educational journey. Day-to-day of the role: Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), focusing on those with challenging behaviours.Work closely with the classroom teacher to implement individual education plans (IEPs).Assist in the development and implementation of behavioural strategies.Facilitate inclusive learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of all students.Monitor and record the progress of pupils, providing feedback to teachers and parents.Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment for all students. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience working in a school setting, particularly with SEND pupils.Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special needs.Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A patient, caring, and professional demeanour.Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
