Key Responsibilities: As a SEND Teaching Assistant in a specialist setting, your dedication will be vital to the pupils' holistic development. Your responsibilities will include: Providing bespoke support for pupils with PMLD, SLD, and Complex ASD across therapeutic and practical learning activities. Assisting with therapy programmes and using specialist equipment, including communication aids and sensory resources. Confidently assisting with moving and handling and personal care duties (e.g., feeding, changing), always maintaining the pupil's dignity. Implementing strategies based on positive behaviour support (PBS) and trauma-informed practice to maintain a safe and nurturing environment. Working closely with the class teacher, therapists, and medical staff to deliver integrated care plans. Requirements: To succeed in this unique and vital role, you must possess: Extensive experience working with pupils who have profound/complex needs (PMLD/SLD) in a specialist setting.
