The Role

We are seeking a proactive and empathetic Teaching Assistant to join our team. If you are a caring individual with a passion for supporting students with a range of special educational needs, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You will work alongside our experienced staff to deliver personalised support, helping students overcome learning challenges and thrive academically and personally in a positive and inclusive setting.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with special educational needs.
• Collaborate with class teachers to help deliver engaging and accessible lessons for all students.
• Contribute to a safe and encouraging classroom where students feel secure and motivated.
• Assist in the social, emotional, and physical development of students.
• Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual student needs.
• Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.
• Help with the general supervision and support of students throughout the school day.

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience working with children or young people is essential, with a preference for experience in an SEN environment.
• A compassionate, and understanding nature.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to be flexible, adaptable, and a quick thinker.
• A positive attitude and a genuine commitment to helping students with SEN succeed.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are a bonus, but not a requirement.
