- Individual & Group Work: Deliver structured 1:1 and small-group support sessions for primary students with formal Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) or specific complex needs.
- Modifying Resources: Adjust the learning environment and educational materials to ensure maximum accessibility and inclusion, always fostering student autonomy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the SEN Coordinator (SENCO) and class teachers to carefully track progress, prepare reports for statutory meetings, and help define future learning targets.
- Emotional Support: Provide consistent pastoral care and reassurance, acting as a reliable, positive influence to help students confidently navigate the daily school routine.
- A minimum of six months proven professional experience within a UK school setting, supporting pupils with various Special Educational Needs (e.g., ASD, Moderate Learning Difficulties).
- Exceptional patience, resilience, and empathy, with demonstrated skills in managing challenging behaviour and de-escalation techniques.
- The superior ability to establish clear, professional, and effective communication with students, parents/carers, and the whole staff team.
- An unwavering full-time commitment and availability for the entire duration of the long-term contract.
- Must hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or be immediately willing to complete a new application.
