SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary (ASD Focus) - Northampton, Northamptonshire - November start - Full-time, Long-term Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a specialist SEN school in Northampton to recruit a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged pupils with ASD. About the School - SEN TA This welcoming and well-resourced specialist school caters for children and young people with autism and additional learning needs. The school provides a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where every pupil is supported to achieve their full potential. With a strong focus on communication, independence, and personal development, it offers an inclusive and highly supportive setting for both students and staff. About the role - SEN TA Support primary-aged students with ASD in both classroom and individual settings.Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, differentiated learning activities.Promote positive behaviour and social interaction.Help create a safe, structured, and stimulating learning environment.Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff. About you - SEN TA Previous UK experience supporting children with special educational needs, ideally ASD.A patient, caring, and proactive approach.The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with students and staff.Relevant qualifications or training in SEN are desirable but not essential.
