Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive educational setting in Effingham.

About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and resilient individual to support students with a range of learning needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. You will work closely with class teachers and other professionals to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with SEN

  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)

  • Support classroom activities and ensure pupils remain engaged and focused

  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies

  • Foster an inclusive and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential)

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
