Job Title: SEN Complex Teaching Assistant

Our school is looking for a dedicated and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a chance to become part of a welcoming primary school community, committed to providing an inclusive and engaging education for all its pupils. You will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs to thrive in a mainstream setting. This long-term position has an immediate start available.

Your Responsibilities
In this primary school role, you will:
- Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils across Key Stage 1 and 2, helping them achieve their learning goals.
- Support children with a variety of needs, such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, and specific learning difficulties.
- Work closely with the class teacher and school SENCO to implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Help create an inclusive classroom environment, assisting pupils to engage with lessons and social activities with their peers.
- Assist with pupil's personal care needs where required, with dignity and respect.
- Uphold the school's commitment to safeguarding, ensuring the welfare of all pupils is paramount.
Your Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 6 months of recent experience supporting children with SEN in a UK primary school.
- Experience working with pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, or communication and learning difficulties.
- Confidence and experience in providing personal care.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated team.
- A Level 1, 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or a willingness to apply for a new one.
