Essential Experience & Skills
We are seeking a proactive teacher ready to take on the responsibility of planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated education within a Special School setting.
Required Qualifications & Knowledge
Key Skills & Attributes
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Proven experience or strong training emphasis in Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Ability to design and implement differentiated learning plans for diverse needs.
Knowledge and experience teaching pupils with a wide range of special educational needs, including:
Patience, empathy, and genuine commitment to student progress.
* Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
Ability to work collaboratively with TAs and multidisciplinary teams.
* Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
Proactive approach and adaptability to changing educational environments.
* Profound and Multiple Needs (PMLD)
Strong understanding of behavioural support strategies and positive reinforcement.
* Autism (ASC/ASD)
Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.
About the School
This is a large, established special school in Slough serving 370 pupils across the 2-19 age range. Our commitment is to provide excellent special education, ensuring every student can thrive and reach their full potential. The current expansion, with the opening of a satellite campus, reflects our dedication to growth and meeting the diverse needs of the community.
