Teachers Needed (SEN) - Orkney IslandsLocation: Orkney Islands, ScotlandContract: Full-timeDuration: 19 weeks (end of February - July 2026), with the potential for extensionSalary: Paid to ScaleGTCS Registration:RequiredPVG:Full PVG checks requiredAbout the OpportunityReed Education are working with a school on the Orkney Islands that is seeking to appoint experienced Teachers to support children and young people aged 10-18 (P6 - S6) with a range of complex social, emotional, and additional support needs.Many of the pupils express themselves through dysregulation, and teachers must be confident working within a nurturing, structured environment that prioritises relationships, consistency, and trauma-informed practice.This is an exciting chance to help shape a new provision that will re-engage learners who have been out of school and require a high level of tailored support.About the RoleStaff will work alongside existing school staff to:Create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment for small groups or one-to-one teachingSupport children who have not been in school for extended periodsEnable pupils to re-engage in learning and work toward national curriculum standardsDeliver high-quality, personalised teaching for a range of additional support needsContribute to the development of a brand-new educational provision on the islandRequirementsAll applicants must have:GTCS Registration (mandatory)Full PVG membershipAt least 2 years’ teaching
