- Job Title: SEN Support Teaching Assistant

- Direct Support: Implement planned 1:1 and small-group intervention sessions for primary-age students who have formal Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) or identified complex learning needs.
- Access & Inclusion: Modify the learning environment and adapt educational resources to ensure complete accessibility and inclusion, proactively promoting the student's independence.
- Collaborative Practice: Work closely with the SEN Coordinator (SENCO) and class teachers to meticulously track student progress, write reports for mandatory review meetings, and assist in establishing future learning targets.
- Well being Focus: Deliver consistent emotional reassurance and support, acting as a reliable, positive role model to help students successfully navigate their school day.
- A minimum of six months of proven professional experience within a UK school setting, providing support to pupils with a diverse range of Special Educational Needs (e.g., ASD, MLD).
- Exceptional qualities of patience, resilience, and empathy, alongside demonstrated capability in managing challenging behaviour and effective de-escalation techniques.
- An outstanding capacity to build clear, professional, and effective lines of communication with students, their families/carers, and the wider school staff.
- An unwavering full-time commitment and availability for the entire duration of the long-term placement.
- Possession of a current Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or the immediate willingness to submit a new application.
