Randstad is working with a school in Sefton to find a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.
Job Description:- Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with a variety of special educational needs.
- Collaborate closely with class teachers to effectively implement individual learning plans.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment by assisting with behaviour management.
- Support lesson preparation and actively participate in tracking student progress.
- Mentor and guide students, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.
- Assist in creating and maintaining a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
- Participate in school events and activities to foster a sense of community.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and any relevant information.
We're looking for you, if:
- You possess at least six months of experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a UK school setting.
- You demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting young people with SEN.
- You possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents.
- You are highly organised and detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in your work.
- You hold a current Enhanced DBS check or are willing to undergo the necessary application process.
- You have a relevant educational qualification (e.g., teaching assistant certificate or equivalent).
- You are a team player and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with students with diverse SEN needs is advantageous.
