- Tailored Intervention: Implement structured 1:1 and small-group support sessions for primary-aged pupils with formal Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) or other identified complex learning needs.
- Inclusion Focus: Modify learning resources and the classroom setting to ensure complete accessibility and full inclusion, actively promoting student independence.
- Teamwork & Planning: Collaborate closely with the SEN Coordinator (SENCO) and classroom teachers to rigorously monitor pupil attainment, prepare reports for statutory review meetings, and assist in setting future learning goals.
- Pastoral Care: Offer consistent emotional backing and reassurance, acting as a strong, positive role model to help students navigate their school routines successfully.
- A minimum of six months of demonstrable professional experience in a UK school setting, supporting pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs (e.g., Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties).
- Exceptional patience, resilience, and empathy, alongside proven skills in managing challenging behaviour and effective de-escalation strategies.
- Outstanding ability to establish clear, professional, and effective communication with pupils, parents/carers, and the wider school staff.
- An unwavering full-time commitment and availability for the entire duration of the long-term placement.
- Possession of a current Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or immediate willingness to complete a new application.
