Urgent Vacancy: Specialist SEN Support in Liverpool
Randstad Education is actively recruiting an empathetic and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic school in the Liverpool area. This is a secure full-time, long-term contract with an ASAP start date.

Your Core Mission & Responsibilities
As a vital member of the support team, your duties will include:
- Targeted Assistance: Delivering crucial one-on-one and small group support to students with diverse special educational needs.
- Curriculum Implementation: Working closely with the class teacher to effectively execute personalised learning plans (IEPs).
- Positive Environment: Actively helping to maintain an inclusive, positive, and safe classroom where all students feel valued.
- Administrative Support: Assisting with lesson preparation and contributing to accurate student progress tracking.
- Mentorship: Acting as a key mentor and guide, helping students achieve their academic, social, and personal targets.
- School Participation: Supporting the overall learning environment and contributing to broader school life.
Essential Criteria & Skills Required
To be successful in this specialist role, you must demonstrate:
- Experience: A minimum of six months of prior experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant within a UK school setting.
- Approach: A naturally compassionate, patient, and energetic approach to supporting pupils with SEN.
- Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary for effective partnership.
- Organisation: Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Compliance: A current Enhanced DBS check is required, or the immediate willingness to obtain one.
- Advantage: Experience supporting a variety of SEN needs (e.g., Autism, ADHD, SLD) is highly desirable.
