This vital role involves working 1:1 with a child with complex needs, supporting pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and contributing to the wider teaching team.We are particularly keen to hear from individuals with experience in Speech and Language, ADHD, SEMH, and Autism. As a valued member of the teaching team, you will be encouraged to use your initiative and skills to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for children with special educational needs.Key Responsibilities Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with complex needs. Assist in delivering high-quality learning experiences in line with EHCPs. Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to support inclusion. Use initiative to enhance teaching and learning outcomes. Uphold safeguarding and behaviour management policies consistently.What We're Looking For At least one year's experience working with SEND children in the primary age range. Experience in a friendly, busy school environment. Understanding of children with SEN needs. Level 2 qualification in play work/childcare. Paediatric First Aid qualification (desirable). Knowledge of child safeguarding procedures. Sympathetic understanding of the emotional, social, and intellectual needs of children with SEN.
